COVID-19 RESPONSE

Things are a little different this year, with student health and safety being the number one priority. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is that students will have a great time in instrumental music this year as they continue to develop into fantastic musicians!

Instrumental
Music Teacher

I am so excited to be starting my 2nd year with Botelle! Even in these strange times, I am so lucky to be able to keep doing what I love.

Since leaving my corporate career for teaching eight years ago, I have been blessed to have the best, most rewarding job ever - helping students to develop a love for music and guiding them to discover that they truly are musicians!

I began my musical journey at the age of 5, when I begged my mom to let me take piano lessons, just like my older brother. Spoiler alert-he quit, but I fell in love! I joined the band at school in 4th grade on the flute, so while the flute is my original band instrument, I really do enjoy playing all of them while teaching my students!

I worked in the Hartford, CT area for the past several years as a middle school band director and elementary instrumental teacher, and am excited to bring that experience with me as I begin working with the students and families at Botelle.

Speaking of families, I have 2 awesome children and 2 adorable cats (Simba and Oscar). My son plays the trombone, my daughter plays the violin, and Simba and Oscar love to sing...well, more like "meow"...but we do consider ourselves to be a pretty musical family!

I am at Botelle on Mondays (5th & 6th) and Fridays (3rd & 4th). Please feel free to email me with any questions about the instrumental music program!
